It seems that throughout this year, the cosmetics industry has struggled with rising prices. Following carbomer, non-woven fabrics, glycerin, and silicones, the price of plastics has risen again. "Yes, the price of (packaging materials) raw materials has risen", "ABS has risen", and when the price of upstream raw materials has increased and the international epidemic has affected export business, some cosmetic packaging materials companies use "worsening" to indicate the situation of the company.

ABS prices soared, up 33.33%

In recent months, from glycerin to silicone to plastics, the successive price hikes of raw materials have been testing the heartbeat of cosmetics practitioners. A relevant person in charge of a cosmetic packaging material company introduced to Qingyan that the price of ABS (acrylonitrile-styrene-butadiene copolymer) has risen, and PP (polypropylene) has also risen slightly. According to a business agency that focuses on research on commodity prices, as of November 17, the price of ABS has risen to 19,000 yuan / ton, an increase of 33.33%. Specifically, on November 17, the ABS quotations of many companies such as PetroChina North China, PetroChina East China, Ningbo LG Yongxing increased compared with the previous day, and the price was no less than 17,500 yuan/ton. Under the tense relationship between supply and demand, some ABS manufacturers have closed down and stopped selling.
